Girls who are not much into sports know that it is not easy to start doing exercises. Surely, it is healthy and we know that our bodies will look better and thus we will feel better and have higher self-esteem, but it is still very difficult to find time and motivation to do exercises.

So, what is getting in our way and does not allow us to work out? Maybe it is called “laziness” or it is just a lack of motivation. Whatever it is it is best to deal with it and start working out. In order to help you in this task, we have prepared for you some motivational and workout hacks that will help you be consistent and not give up working out. Here they are!

#1 Prepare beforehand

It is best to work out in the morning, and you probably know that, but this also has its negative side. When you wake up in the morning you feel sleepy and tired, you prefer to stay in bed for one more hour instead of going to the gym and basically you do not work out. Well, if you do not want this to happen, there are two things you may try.

The first one is to exercise in the afternoon or at lunchtime if you have enough time, or to prepare your things beforehand. Put your trainers, your tracksuit, you water bottle even somewhere where you can see them and not forget that you have to work out. This way you will save yourself the excuse of not being prepared for a workout.

#2 Do exercises you like

If you want to start working out, then you need to make sure that this is a pleasant experience for you. It is very important to start doing the exercises that you like the best. This way you will be motivated enough not to give up. And once you have pushed yourself to go and workout you may start doing more difficult exercises.

You can also treat yourself when you go for a workout. This, of course, does not mean that you should stuff yourself with junk food before a workout, but eat or drink something healthy and delicious, like fresh orange juice, or a smoothie.

It is not even necessary to be a kind of food. You may treat yourself by going for a run on your favorite places, or you can even buy yourself some new dress if you are satisfied with how worked out. This way you will feel motivated to work out because of the little presents you are going to give yourself.

#3 Put reminders everywhere

Another thing that will motivate you to move your body is to put reminders everywhere. For example, put a picture of a girl who is doing exercises somewhere near your bed so you can see it every time you wake up in the morning.

Or you can put pictures on your desktop and your phone reminding you that you need to work out. This way you will not have the excuse that you forgot to do your workout. Instead of staying on the couch all day watching TV, you could simply go for a run or pay a visit to the gym.

#4 Do exercises while you are sitting or lying

Many girls do not want to go to the gym because they think that fit people who exercise there are going to stare at them or even make fun at them. And the same goes for running in the park – some people are just too embarrassed to go out and do exercises. If you are one of them, do not worry.

You can do exercises at home. This way you will not be embarrassed or feel uncomfortable. You can even do exercises while you are watching TV on your bed. You can do crunches, lift your legs, and do bridges. You could do this in the commercial break or when there is something boring scene you would not want to watch.

If you are a working girl, you could do exercises in the office. The easiest and quite effective thing is to stand up straight. Make sure your back is straight. This way, believe it or not, your muscles will get contracted and your posture will also improve.

There are also many other ways you could work out in the office, including taking the stairs instead of the elevator and walking as much as possible in the building. So, do not miss to try them out when you are at work.

#5 Work out with a friend

Last, but not least, motivate yourself by working out with a friend. When you and your friend have arranged to meet for a work out, you will have no excuse to postpone it or not to show up. This way you will motivate each other and when one of you wants to quit, the other one will encourage her to continue, and the other way round.
